Associate Dean & Community Community Health Law Partnership Clinic Director Jason A. Cade recently published a report, co-authored with Project South, that details local law enforcement collaboration with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina from 2016 to 2018. The report titled “Escalating Jailhouse Immigration Enforcement” revealed an increase in the issuance of ICE detainers across the three states during the period in question, among other findings.
